 Sergius of Radonezh (Russian Radonezhsky Sergii), hegumenos of the Russian land, the Miracle-Worker of all Russia (born Bartholomew, Varfolomei) (3.05.1314 — 25.09.1392) – is the monk of the Russian Church, the Reverend, the founder of a number of monasteries including the Holy Trinity Monastery near Moscow (now -  the Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra). The spiritual gatherer of Russian people - the cultural ideal of Holy Russia and emergence of Russian spiritual culture is connected with him.
